Family Tutoring Alliance Responsibilities
Family Tutoring Alliance provides support around vetting tutoring providers and management of tutoring implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
Detailed responsibilities around the partnership include:
Preparing messaging, press materials, and tax-credit explanations.
Educating donors, provide donation links/materials, recognize campaign sponsors, and maintain records
Approving high-quality tutoring providers to work with students
Reviewing scholarship applications & make awards to priority students
Assisting with operations for school-level partnerships
Measuring and monitor frequency and effectiveness of tutoring
Managing all tax compliance, mandatory financial/program audits and government reporting
School/District Responsibilities
Share the partnership through communication channels
Introduce FTA to employers, and/or community partners interested in sponsoring scholarships.
Help identify students who need extra support (optional)
Local schools allow for tutoring to take place on-site as extended day (optional)
Schools apply to be tutoring providers and/or allow teachers to contract with approved providers as tutors (optional)
Engage in data sharing to help measure effectiveness (optional)
Invite school/district staff to adjust federal tax withholding on their W-4 to passively fund a scholarship through payroll taxes that they are already paying (optional)
Note: all donations received through coordinated efforts will be dedicated to the participating school/district
